Pride holds us back in our faith. Pride causes us to think that we know better, it keeps us isolated, it causes us to be overconfident, it makes us defensive, and it strains our relationships. Pride hinders personal growth and creates barriers to experiencing joy, fulfillment, and contentment. In our life of prayer, we need to surrender to pride.
